Thank you! I can't tell you what this honor means to me! I have worked so hard never knowing if I would get any recognition. The bloody fingers, broken needles, and aching back all were worth it because of this moment.
I have so many people to thank for this accomplishment! First, to my mom who let me borrow her supplies and extended her knowledge and support. And to my husband, Stewart, who supported me in the many hours of work I did and pitched in on the cutting. To Eli, who didn't run off with my cutter more than 5 times and never once actually cut any of the material. And of course to God who gave me SO many talents! :)
Haa Haa if you can't tell my first quilt is done! I've been working on it, here and there, for quite a few weeks now. I LOVE how it turned out (just don't look at the corners too closely). From afar though it's absolutely perfect. I didn't have enough material on the back so I bound it with some red fabric and it worked out so nice. This will be our camping/picnic blanket. I can't wait to go so that we can use it and make sure it holds up!

Wow, I love it! The red trim is wonderful, it really makes the red pop on the quilt. Way to go.
