Birthday Boy!!!

Yeah!   Knox is one!  He is so sweet and has such a funny personality.  He keeps us on our toes and likes a lot of attention and we couldn't be happier to have him in our family.  He is thisclose to walking and says "mama" and "dada" and "banana" and "bubba bubba".  He loves to go downstairs in the morning and go in Eli's room to play with his toys.  It's the best way to get Eli out of bed. He has to protect his legos! :)  

 

Knox is our "cute as a button" little baby so this cake was perfect.  He really is so darn cute and he has a cute little button nose. 

  

 Knox wasn't too excited to mess in his cake which is surprising because he makes a mess with his food at least 3 times a day!  I was so excited before the party because I knew that I'd have a baby that would mess in his cake.

It was such a fun day and I loved celebrating my special little boy.  He has brought so much love and life into our family.

Easter Time 3.0

We had Easter dinner at the Brough's house.  Grandma Brough had an egg hunt for the kids.  Charlie and Eli had a fun time and I think Alice had some help from her dad and found some eggs too. 

 The adults were lookouts and gave the kids hints of where to find the eggs.

It was  a great Easter that was celebrated 3 different times.  We really know how to do holidays!  Luckily my kids have good grandparents who do such fun things with the kids.

Easter Time 2.0

Easter Morning was really fun this year.  Knox found some eggs and held them up in victory.  He was really fun to go along with the game.  Eli was nice enough to leave Knox some of the easier ones. :)

 Whoa!  There's candy in here!  He's probably also wishing I hadn't put Christmas jammies on him for Easter Morning. Maybe next year I'll plan better...

 I love my cute boys in their Easter outfits. Have I mentioned I love having 2 boys?  Thanks to Grandma Brough for dressing my boys so well.

Easter Time 1.0

 For Easter at Dad's house we had a Easter egg hunt and dyed Easter Eggs.  As usual the kids got way too much candy and had way too much fun...wait you can't have too much fun!  Well, they did get too much candy.  Eli and Nathan found the 2 golden eggs.  Nathan was so excited so Eli was too.

Dad did a good job planning his first Easter egg hunt on his own.  Good thing he had Stacy to help him.

Quilt Camp

My aunts Jane and Gaylene hosted a quilt camp for any one who wanted to come.  It was so much fun. They did so much to prepare for this fun event. They made us bags with our names embroidered on them and they chucked them full of notions. There were prizes and I won an awesome apron.  We finished a quilt in 2 days!  That's really good!!! I wish I had a picture of my final quilt all finished. But here are some pictures of the whole process and everyone who was there! :)  

Extreme Makeover-Bedroom Addition

Since having Knox we have had some bedroom swapping.  First, Eli and Knox shared a room.  Then we moved Knox downstairs because Eli was keeping Knox awake. Then the squeaky floors were keeping Knox awake during the day so I started brainwashing Eli into wanting to move downstairs. Stewart and I decided to do a room makeover in the hopes that Eli would not be too scared to sleep down there.  We sent Eli to Stacy's house so that we could surprise Eli with a brand new room.

 After!  It's so cheery and happy.  We put some fun quotes on the wall from the Harry Potter books. I sewed some curtains and we made a nice little area for homework (yeah right.)

I think it turned out so cozy and nice.  Eli was really excited and liked his new room.  I was proud of Stewart and me for getting so much done in just a few days.

High Aspirations.

Eli has really started thinking and planning for his future.  Right now his goal in life is to become a hobo.  He created this awesome camp and sleeps in it pretty exclusively.  Eli has put a lot of effort into making it and it's pretty hilarious. I can't wait until I can destroy it but I do admire his creativity. :)
